You don’t need a warehouse or a plasma cutter to build your own tonneau. Just some aluminum fence panels, a handful of key parts, and the itch to make something yourself. That’s where this kit comes in.
What We’re Launching
Today we’re releasing a small-but-mighty bundle: the DIY Tonneau Cover Kit. It includes the same weather stripping, slide connectors, and Fidlock strap system we use on our own covers — minus the panels.
Why no panels? Because a lot of you told us you’d rather grab EuroFence aluminum from your local hardware store and build the thing your way. This kit gives you everything else:
-
UHMW slide pieces to connect your panels to slide into the bedrails
-
Weather stripping to keep the fit snug
-
A Fidlock strap kit to make removal simple
Panels and adhesive? That’s up to you.
Why We Built This
Our business didn’t start with a product, rather, it started with a question. The first tonneau was a garage build, born out of frustration and a desire to make just cover the dang bed. We posted it online, and you showed up with ideas, questions, and better versions. Some of you started making your own. And honestly? We love that.
We built this kit because you asked for it. But we’re offering it because it’s exactly the kind of thing we’d want too.
The DIY Spirit
Not everyone wants to buy a finished product. Some of you are here to tinker, tweak, and test. You’ve shown us what a DIY community can look like — and we want to encourage it.
If you're someone who likes to work from scratch, experiment with fit, or see what else you can make with a few panels and some UHMW… this kit is for you. We're not precious about our process, and we’re not trying to lock you into our system. We’re trying to get good gear into capable hands.
Show Us What You Make
We want to see what you build. Tag us in your projects. DM us your mods. Shoot us a note if you get stuck, we’re happy to help troubleshoot.
And if you come up with a clever idea we haven’t thought of yet, don’t be surprised if it ends up in the next product release.
